After extremely successful openings of stages 1 and 2 over the past 12 months, we are very excited to announce the opening of Stage 6 of the CVWWT on the 1st of May 2022.
This stage will run from the Clare Valley Wine, Food & Tourism Centre to Paulett Wines via the Hill River Valley. Pauletts will host a gourmet BBQ and premium Paulett wines for all wakers (available for purchase on the day).
On Sunday the 23rd of May we set about to improve the stage 1 trail markers.
The trail markers are now more prominent (rather than blending into the landscape!) and we have begun the process of marking the trail in the reverse direction as well.
Helping on the day were Annie Pitt, Kirsty Gwynn Jones, Bianca Grigg (pictured) Michael Nugent and Tim Grigg.
Stage 1 of the Clare Valley Wine & Wilderness Trail was officially opening by the Premier, The Hon Steven Marshall over the ANZAC day long weekend.
All up we had around 60 walkers who completed the full 20km stage from The Clare valley Wine, Food & Tourism Centre to Jim Barry Wines.
Freshly baked ANZAC biscuits and morning tea was enjoyed by all from the hill top conservatory on Hill River Station, with sensational views over both the Hill River & Hut River Valleys.
The Clare Lions Club have donated $3000 to the Clare Valley Wine & Wilderness Trail.
The very generous donation comes from the proceeds of the Clare Lions Club recycled furniture shop.
The funds will be used to purchase and install fence stiles along the trail.
